What is Google +1 and How is it Different from Facebook’s Like Button?

There is a lot of talk about the Google +1 lately. If you are not sure what that is, here is a comparison between Google +1 and the Facebook “Like” button.

With Facebook, you “Like” a page on a website and Facebook puts it on your profile page. Your friends can look at what you like, but maybe they won’t.

Google’s +1 works a little differently. Google +1 is not related to a social network; it is geared towards Google search, search ads and recommending sites across the web. Google +1 tells your friends that this product, site or ad is something that they should check out.
