Social Media: Are You Popular? Does It Really Matter?
Do we need to measure our worth by what number we have? To be successful, some people think this is true, more likes on Facebook, more followers on Twitter, etc., but does that really matter? If you are an individual maybe that makes you look more popular, but what about companies? There is not a consistent answer to this question.
In an article from Social Media Today, Laura Nguyen writes, “Social Media should be measured by engagements and the impact they have on conversations and traffic, not the pure volume of friends you bought or happen to accumulate over time.” For businesses especially, this statement is something to really think about. My thoughts are that it is the quality, not the quantity that will make your business successful, but what do you think?
