Facebook Timeline for Brand Pages

Login to your Facebook Brand Page today and you will see the official notice that the Facebook Timeline for Brand Pages is coming March 30. Here are some of the highlights:
Customize Your Facebook Brand Page
Facebook Cover Photo – Facebook now lets businesses add a 851 x 315 cover photo to help express the Brand Page business identity. Some rules for the cover photo: it can’t include price or purchase information, contact information, references to actions such as “like”, or calls to action such as “Buy it now.”
Facebook Profile Picture – Facebook suggests using the company logo as the Facebook profile picture in the Timeline. The logo size should be 180 x 180.
Control Facebook Timeline Content
Weekly Pinned Posts let you “pin” an important Facebook post at the top of your page for 7 days.
Starred Posts let you enlarge important posts so that they take up the entire width of the Facebook page.
Hide posts using the pencil icon from the drop down menu.
Milestones let you show important company events on your Facebook Brand Page by featuring a company milestone, adding pictures and adding the event date.
New Admin Panel
Private Messaging is now possible so that friends of your Brand Page can start private conversations with the Brand Page and admins can reply to them.
The new Facebook Timeline Activity Log also allows you to hide, unhide, star posts and change the dates on posts from within the page admin.
The Facebook Timeline automatically goes live on March 30, 2012.
Tell us what you think about these important changes to your page.
